Job Title: Customer Support Representative - Contractor

Overview:

The Customer Support Representative - Contractor plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of products and services in accordance with established guidelines and customer expectations. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Manager/Supervisor, focusing on account management and customer interaction at a foundational level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process and manage customer purchase orders and maintain external customer order systems.
  2. Utilize electronic data interchange (EDI) for efficient order processing.
  3. Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing based on the established price list.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to provide updates on order status and delivery timelines.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and records of customer interactions.
  6. Prepare and submit quotations to customers in alignment with pricing guidelines.
  7. Generate and compile reports related to customer and sales activities.
  8. Conduct contract reviews of customer purchase orders to ensure compliance.

Additional Duties:

  1. Assist Account Managers with administrative tasks as needed.
  2. Participate in cross-training initiatives with fellow Customer Support Representatives.
  3. Engage in accounts receivable management, including the validation of purchase orders.

Work Environment:

This role is primarily office-based, with the expectation of interaction across departments and movement within the facility. Employees may encounter varying conditions, including noise and exposure to operational elements.

Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in computer systems and software applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Detail-oriented with effective multitasking capabilities.
  • Understanding of the sales process and related customer service practices.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional qualifications in Business Administration or related fields may be beneficial.

Experience:

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
