Job Title: Director, Corporate Communications

Join The Pokémon Company International as we seek a seasoned communications leader to drive our corporate communications strategy.


About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced communications professional to lead our corporate communications function. As Director, Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive corporate communications strategies that align with our business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement corporate communications strategies that drive employee engagement, build our corporate brand image, and manage crisis communication.

  • Lead a small team in Bellevue and London, reporting to the Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Development.

  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including People, DEI & CSR, Legal, Marketing, and brand and business function leaders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in leading and executing comprehensive corporate communications strategies.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams across diverse locations and cultures.

  • Executive presence, with a confident communication style and ability to present and facilitate impactful meetings and events.

  • Global audience focus, with a keen ability to read the room and adapt communication styles and messaging accordingly.

  • Data-driven approach, with a strong grasp of communication measurement principles and experience developing and implementing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.

  • Transformation champion, with a proven ability to drive transformational change within the communications function and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Industry acumen, with knowledge of industry best practices and trends for both consumer goods and the communications discipline.

  • Storytelling expertise, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives that bring internal marketing and communication strategies to life.

  • Creative visionary, with an entrepreneurial mindset that brings creative and innovative communication approaches to build a strong company culture.

  • Strategic influencer, with a proven record of influencing key business stakeholders and securing buy-in for communication initiatives.

  • Thriving in change, with experience working in a fast-paced, transformative environment and the ability to influence positive change and lead others through ambiguity.

  • Collaborative builder, with experience building strong global relationships across cultures with business partners and team members.

  • DEI&CSR champion, with experience amplifying Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles and integrating these values into communication strategies.

  • Passionate about TPCi, with a strong understanding of the company's mission and core values and a passion for Pokémon and the impact it has on various stakeholders.
