The Head of Email Marketing Strategy will spearhead the design and implementation of our global marketing automation and CRM initiatives. This pivotal role focuses on crafting, executing, and overseeing our B2B email marketing strategy while providing strategic direction and technical expertise to the various brands within the ETS portfolio. Collaboration with both internal and external partners is essential to create integrated, measurable email marketing campaigns that align with our business goals and marketing objectives. A results-oriented mindset is crucial for success in this position. This role reports to the Executive Director of Brand and Channel Marketing and will lead a team dedicated to email marketing and automation execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end email marketing campaigns, including planning, targeting, setup, testing, execution, reporting, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Insights teams to define customer journeys, identify opportunities, and assess the potential business impact of those opportunities.
  • Develop CRM strategies that integrate with brand and performance marketing to enhance customer engagement, frequency, migration, and spending.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and implement data-driven, dynamic email campaigns, including targeted marketing campaigns, lifecycle emails, retention/reactivation initiatives, and loyalty communications.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting and insights that accurately measure email campaign performance.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of various email campaigns, including template design, unsubscribe management, and automated customer journey considerations.
  • Create documentation and roadmaps for processes, A/B testing, and promotional strategies that succeed through email marketing.
  • Analyze results and develop testing plans to continuously enhance email performance, focusing on deliverability, mobile optimization, open rates, and more.
  • Stay updated on best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing strategy.
  • Proficiency in Marketo is required; experience with Salesforce and ON24 is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles and metrics.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting programs that drive sales and pipeline growth.
  • High level of organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Adept at multitasking under pressure and prioritizing various projects simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving goals and objectives.
