Role Summary:
We are in search of a Director of Advanced Analytics & Insights to spearhead our data analytics initiatives. This role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders to align our business objectives with actionable insights, uncovering growth avenues, optimizing operational processes, and promoting data-driven decision-making. The Director will guide cross-functional teams in enhancing the value derived from our data assets.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Implementation:
• Equip business units with data, tools, and models to derive insights and establish metrics/KPIs, driving data-informed decisions to fulfill organizational goals.
• Collaborate with product, finance, and other departments to integrate innovative technologies and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our analytics platforms, fostering user adoption and operational efficiency.
Advanced Analytics and Data Science:
• Provide expertise in Advanced Analytics, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Visualization, to transform data into a strategic asset.
• Establish data acquisition and integration strategies to monitor and enhance performance and scalability of data solutions.
• Promote the adoption of self-service analytics tools to advance the strategic utilization of data within the organization.
Agile Delivery of Data Solutions:
• Employ agile methodologies to collaborate with teams of data analysts, engineers, and scientists to swiftly develop and refine Data Analytics and BI solutions.
• Formulate a strategy to democratize data through AI-driven self-service analytics solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of data solutions that align with business needs and provide incremental value.
Business Collaboration:
• Oversee collaboration with various business units on data initiatives, driving proofs of concept and projects that deliver tangible value.
• Lead the design and development of data models, dashboards, and visualizations, ensuring they meet business requirements.
• Educate stakeholders on the advantages and capabilities of data analytics, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to leadership.
Leadership and Team Development:
• Mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient team operations.
Technology and Tools:
• Assess new advanced analytical capabilities that align with our enterprise data strategy.
• Identify suitable tools and technologies to meet business requirements effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends to maintain our leadership in data innovation.
Performance Metrics:
• Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate the success of data initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.
• Align data team KPIs with organizational objectives to ensure measurable value is achieved.
• Regularly review KPIs to identify improvement areas and drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, advanced analytics, or related roles.
• Proficient understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and visualization tools.
• Experience with agile methodologies in delivering data solutions.
