Position Overview

The Office Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing communications, handling messages, and directing them to the appropriate personnel. This position involves preparing documentation, coordinating transportation, maintaining filing systems, and providing assistance to the Office Manager.   • Resolve issues independently without supervision.
  • Possess strong writing abilities to convey information clearly on various topics.
  • Utilize filing and organizational skills efficiently.
  • Employ computer proficiency and mathematical skills as needed.
  • Engage positively with a diverse range of medical, professional, and state personnel.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule to meet office demands.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check and comply with state regulations.
  • Pass required drug screening tests.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Training and Certifications:
  • Complete all initial and ongoing training within designated timeframes.
  • Attend annual CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training.
  • Maintain SOAR certification.
  • Acquire and keep current Food Handler's Permit and T.B. Test (specific to Utah employees).
  • MEDS certification (specific to Nevada employees).

  • Communicate effectively with medical, professional, and state representatives.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and crisis management capabilities.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure under pressure while working with individuals and colleagues.

Physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, using hands for various tasks, reaching, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds.
