Position Summary

The Strategic Business Development Manager role is responsible for the strategic coordination and execution of top-tier commercial lines insurance accounts for the Blueprint Consulting Group. Primarily responsible for managing a book of business, resolving complex client service needs, client marketing, account retention, and assisting with new business development.


Key Responsibilities

1. **Manage and Direct Client Accounts**: Ensure retention and growth of book of business by managing or directing client accounts/relationships.


2. **Business Development**: Initiate business development through new account acquisition and/or current account enhancement.


3. **Account Renewal and Marketing**: Manage or direct account renewal and/or specialized marketing, utilizing established markets but may be responsible for market development.


4. **Market Research and Strategy**: Research market trends, develop strategies, and negotiate favorable arrangements and relationships.


5. **Submission Development**: Manage or direct the development of submissions for marketing in accordance with agency standards.


6. **Renewal Process**: Initiate renewal process and conduct renewals with the Account Manager, Producer, or another Account Executive. Participate in Renewal Strategy meetings.


7. **Proposal Preparation**: Prepare proposals for new business or renewals, including binding, invoicing, and other documentation.


8. **Correspondence and Schedules**: Prepare correspondence and insurance schedules.


9. **System Maintenance**: Maintain current information on company automation systems.


10. **System Utilization**: Utilize web-based and other systems to rate, research, and perform carrier inquiries.


11. **Receivables and Collections**: Perform receivables/collection activities as directed, including cancellations and reinstatements.


12. **Team Leadership**: May direct workflow and mentor other team members.


13. **Client Relations**: May have client relations responsibility for accounts not serviced directly.


14. **Additional Responsibilities**: Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
