POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for the administrative and operational management of designated departments, focusing on financial oversight, human resource management, operational efficiency, quality of care, and patient satisfaction. This role is essential in promoting the organization's mission, vision, and values while ensuring a patient-centered care approach.

As a key member of the management team, the Clinical Nurse Manager will support the development of future nursing leaders through mentorship and resource allocation. This position may involve staffing assistance to guarantee comprehensive clinical care for diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.


PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Directly manages daily operations that influence patient care and service delivery.
2. Promotes a safe and positive work environment, enhancing customer service standards.
3. Oversees quality patient care and outcomes, leading initiatives for quality improvement and operational excellence.
  • Coordinates planning and strategic initiatives for the assigned departments.
4. Ensures personalized care and documentation tailored to patient needs, adhering to high standards of care.
5. Manages financial responsibilities, collaborating with leadership to formulate and oversee departmental budgets and objectives, ensuring financial alignment through reconciliation.
6. Provides guidance to Human Resources to optimize efficiency and productivity.
7. Monitors Patient/Physician/Staff Satisfaction metrics.
8. Analyzes data to drive performance enhancements and implement change initiatives.
9. Prepares for regulatory compliance audits.
10. Maintains clinical and technical expertise, with potential involvement in direct patient care.
11. Guides staff, fostering collaborative decision-making and engagement to meet departmental goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Completion of an accredited nursing program.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting, with at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated clinical proficiency in the relevant specialty area.


LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
Must possess an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Advanced certification in the specialty area is advantageous. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
