Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Health and Safety Plans: Create and implement comprehensive health and safety plans to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks within our facilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure that our facilities and operations comply with all relevant laws and standards.
- Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor health and safety performance and report on key metrics and trends to senior management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental health and safety or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
- Technical Capacity: Strong technical skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement long-term health and safety plans.
- Problem-Solving/Analysis: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The employee may be required to work nights and weekends based on business needs.
