JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


The Schreyer Honors College is in search of a Marketing and Communications Specialist who will be tasked with multichannel storytelling and overall communications for the college.

The primary focus of this role is to discover and document student and alumni narratives through various print and digital platforms.

This position will also spearhead the planning, creation, and dissemination of general communications aimed at promoting college activities, programs, resources, and information to diverse audiences.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Craft feature articles, marketing materials, and web content to showcase student and alumni achievements.

2. Conceptualize and coordinate multimedia storytelling through video and photography.

3. Compose and distribute press releases, targeted email communications, and a weekly newsletter to keep constituents informed about college updates and events.

4. Oversee the production of an annual print/digital magazine, including story planning, content writing, multimedia web coordination, and collaboration with a designer for publication.

5. Maintain a content calendar and collaborate with Schreyer staff to strategize content and distribution methods for optimal audience engagement.

6. Draft remarks for the dean and other Schreyer leadership for use during events, alumni engagement, and prospective student programs.

7. Recruit and supervise student interns to assist with content development.

8. Attend college events as necessary to help capture content or manage event logistics.

Education Requirements and Skills:
This position necessitates a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Experience and Skills Include:
- Exceptional writing abilities with a knack for tailoring content across various platforms.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Capacity to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

- A keen interest in multimedia content and the ability to think creatively about multichannel storytelling.

This position is expected to be primarily onsite, with occasional opportunities for flexible work arrangements. Questions regarding flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $51,000 - $74,000.00
