JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


The Schreyer Honors College is in search of a Marketing and Communications Specialist tasked with crafting compelling narratives and managing communications for the college.

This role's main focus is to discover and document student and alumni experiences through various print and digital channels.

The incumbent will also spearhead the planning, creation, and dissemination of communications aimed at promoting college initiatives, programs, resources, and information to diverse audiences.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Compose feature articles, marketing materials, and online content that showcase student and alumni achievements.

2. Develop and coordinate multimedia storytelling initiatives utilizing videography and photography.

3. Draft and distribute press releases, targeted email communications, and a weekly newsletter to keep stakeholders informed about college news and events.

4. Oversee the production of an annual print/digital magazine, including story planning, content writing, multimedia coordination, and collaboration with designers for publication.

5. Maintain a content calendar and collaborate with Schreyer staff to strategize content and distribution methods that effectively engage audiences.

6. Prepare remarks for the dean and other college leaders for use during events, alumni engagement, and prospective student programs.

7. Recruit and supervise student interns to assist with content creation.

8. Attend college events as necessary to support content capture or event logistics.

Education Requirements and Skills:
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Exceptional writing abilities with a knack for adapting content across various platforms.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Capacity to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

- A passion for multimedia content and a creative approach to multichannel storytelling.

This position is primarily expected to be onsite, though there may be occasional opportunities for flexible work arrangements. Questions regarding flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position is: $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
