Position Overview
The Technical Support Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering expert guidance and assistance to clients regarding the operation and upkeep of company products.

This position serves as the primary contact for customers facing technical and service-related challenges, showcasing the benefits and functionalities of our offerings.

Collaboration with sales, marketing, quality assurance, and research and development teams is essential to resolve customer issues, implement corrective measures, and ensure follow-up.

This role may encompass responsibilities across a specified geographical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute installation, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of equipment within the timelines set by service management.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with established protocols and maintain performance and maintenance logs for the equipment.
  • Provide training and guidance to customer staff on operational, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
  • Investigate equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and suggest corrective actions.
  • Offer recommendations for design modifications aimed at enhancing equipment efficiency and reducing operational costs.
  • May engage in the planning phase of installations.
  • Uphold customer satisfaction through effective communication regarding services provided, arrival times, and any service-related issues, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Manage company resources, including vehicles, computers, inventory, testing equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and programs related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems as per assigned roles.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar field-based repair role.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain credit approval for a corporate credit card.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Independent and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Availability for over 40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours work.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Must meet all requirements for access to customer sites, including compliance with credentialing requirements.
  • Participate in various work activities as assigned by management.
