About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check-in and check-out patients at assigned facilities
  • Perform various operational support functions, including scheduling patient visits, tests, and surgical procedures
  • Greet patients, answer and direct telephone calls
  • Perform various clerical and administrative functions
  • Cover different offices as needed or directed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Good computer and typing skills required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment required
  • One year of medical office practice experience or graduation from a medical secretary program or equivalent preferred
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 virus or exempt for medical or personal reasons
