Position Summary

The role involves driving the sales of sensor and scale products to both distributors and end users across the nation. As a technical authority in your product line, you will manage your business expenses and relay sales trends and customer feedback to relevant personnel within Civic Minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate national sales opportunities for sensor products.
  • This role necessitates up to 50% travel, often requiring overnight stays outside the local area.
  • Establish and manage distributor relationships for various product categories within your designated region, including setting sales targets.
  • Conduct sales visits to existing and prospective distributors to introduce new products, assess inventory levels, review promotional materials, lead sales meetings, provide product training, and resolve issues.
  • Engage with end users, either independently or alongside distributor representatives, to advocate for our product offerings.
  • Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, evaluating applications and providing post-sale support.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to strategize promotional activities for the products.
  • Identify target accounts and specific product lines for focused sales efforts.
  • Deliver software demonstrations and training on products within your region.
  • Monitor and analyze personal and distributor performance regarding orders, shipments, and product quantities, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the collection of overdue accounts.
  • Support territory sales representatives in creating quotes that align with customer requirements.
  • Timely preparation and submission of required reports.
  • Participate in trade shows organized by Civic Minds and distributors.
  • Stay updated on Civic Minds products, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Attend regional meetings and engage in sales training and product knowledge sessions as necessary.
  • Regularly maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory duties.

Work Environment: Office-based setting.

Physical Requirements: The individual in this role may need to occasionally navigate within the office to access files and equipment.

Travel Requirements: This position involves up to 50% travel, often requiring overnight stays outside the local area.

Education and Experience: A four-year degree or equivalent education, along with five years of relevant experience.
