POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a seasoned sales expert capable of navigating intricate sales cycles and finalizing agreements? If so, this position aligns with your aspirations.

For over 40 years, Concept Machine has been at the forefront of selling and servicing cutting-edge precision measuring instruments. Our ongoing growth and introduction of new product lines present an exciting opportunity for a Professional Outside Technical Sales Representative in the Southeastern Michigan region.

This Technical Regional Sales Manager role requires a driven, competitive, and skilled individual who is organized, technically proficient, and a self-motivated go-getter. Sales team members are tasked with the expansion and enhancement of their designated territories. Each member is also responsible for consistent prospecting of new opportunities, conducting product demonstrations, preparing proposals, closing sales, and nurturing post-sale client relationships. Accurate reporting and documentation within the Company CRM is essential.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Strategy Development:
    1. Formulate and execute sales strategies and plans to meet regional sales goals and objectives.
    2. Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions to guide strategy.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    1. Establish and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the region.
    2. Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance:
    1. Track personal sales performance metrics and generate regular reports on sales activities, progress, and outcomes.
    2. Analyze sales data to pinpoint areas for enhancement and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Market Expansion:
    1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to broaden market presence.
    2. Devise strategies to penetrate new markets and boost market share in existing sectors.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    1. Collaborate closely with other departments, such as marketing and service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
    2. Coordinate with sales teams to maintain consistency in sales strategies and objectives.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    1. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding sales performance, market conditions, and regional challenges.
    2. Utilize data and insights to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    1. Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
    2. Foster a culture of integrity and accountability within the sales team.
  • Problem-solving and Conflict Resolution:
    1. Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or with clients.
    2. Implement solutions to overcome challenges and obstacles in the sales process.

CORE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communication, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in sales.
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Exhibits a high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role, potentially up to 80%.
