Position Overview
The Healthcare Sales Specialist (HSS) will be tasked with engaging targeted Health Care Providers (HCPs) and groups, including Dermatologists, Pediatric Dermatologists, Pediatricians, and mid-level practitioners as identified by the Sales Leadership, to promote the appropriate use of VP-102 and other products from Verrica Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Key Responsibilities
The HSS will be accountable for educating HCPs and their teams on the clinical advantages of VP-102. Additionally, the HSS will ensure a positive physician/patient experience by providing clinical information and patient education while serving as a liaison for access, reimbursement, and distribution channels.

The HSS will report to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and will be expected to meet sales revenue targets and key performance indicators, which include, but are not limited to, call activity on targeted customers, time spent in the territory, and market growth.

Territory Management
The HSS will be responsible for developing and implementing local territory business plans, including routing and resource allocation. The role may also require assisting with other duties within the organization as directed.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales objectives while excelling in execution.
- Lead and facilitate the successful introduction of VP-102.
- Conduct in-person visits, meetings, and communications with HCPs and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Business Reimbursement Team to ensure access and reimbursement for products.
- Work closely with all Verrica stakeholders to address customer needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Implement marketing strategies as directed by RSMs and Marketing.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key physicians and customers.
- Deliver on key performance indicators as outlined by the RSM and Sales Leadership.
- Execute the brand strategy and tactical initiatives.
- Utilize company-approved materials and resources to educate HCPs and their staff, effectively conveying the marketing message.
- Attain a high level of clinical expertise and product knowledge to effectively communicate with HCPs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business or Health Science-related fields.
- Significant and relevant sales experience in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical sector.
- Proven success in working within institutions and large group practices, demonstrating the ability to engage all stakeholders in these environments.
- Experience in Medical Dermatology is preferred, with a strong track record in launching new brands in this field.

Key Competencies
- Ability to achieve sales results and develop relationships with key opinion leaders and customers.
- Experience in collaborating across sales, market access, and channel teams.
- High adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment, with the capability to respond to business challenges as they arise.

Additional Requirements
- Experience in buy and bill or specialty pharmacy is a plus.
- Overnight travel is required, and participation in weekend medical congresses and corporate events may be necessary.
- This position necessitates in-person visits with HCPs and other healthcare customers.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk.
- Normal office operations requirements regarding lifting, standing, and walking.
- Frequent travel may be required during routine responsibilities.
