We are currently in search of a Sales Insights Analyst who desires a role that encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting their continuous growth and development, ranging from daily operations to engaging projects and initiatives.
The Sales Insights Analyst is tasked with coordinating all documentation for the credit and contract submission process, as well as the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales data, which aids the sales team in enhancing productivity towards achieving established sales targets. Key responsibilities include preparing sales analyses, reporting, and forecasts for all sales activities to assess performance against current sales objectives. The Sales Insights Analyst is expected to collaborate closely with other departments to refine processes and communication related to CRM pipeline tracking systems and the data contained within for use in all sales reporting, which includes administrative management of the CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
CRM/Pricing Oversight
- Oversee the management of CRM/Pricing systems, including user setup, permissions, and module structure management concerning layout and data field option modifications.
- Manage the Master CRM data set utilized for all sales KPIs, OKRs & metrics reporting.
- Guide teams in adhering to processes established for inputting opportunities and data into CRM/Pricing systems.
- Accountable for reporting and communicating the accuracy of data for all groups, customer, and prospect information in CRM/Pricing systems.
- Provide technical support for CRM/Pricing systems concerning user access, functionality, and troubleshooting.
- Assist the sales team throughout the sales cycle to fulfill customer needs.
- Manage lead generation initiatives for accounts in targeted market areas.
- Develop and maintain a database of utility natural gas tariffs.
- Create client reports, such as invoice charges, volume, hedge, and estimated monthly invoice charges, as requested.
- Support Sales Executives regarding non-standard terms and assist the sales team throughout the complete sales cycle to meet customer needs.
- Guide pricing opportunities through the credit and legal approval processes.
- Assist Sales Executives in escalating non-standard terms and conditions to management and legal as necessary.
- Ensure pricing documentation complies with customer requirements and company standards.
- Guarantee data is entered in a standardized format for CRM, Pricing, Credit team, and Legal team and communicate deadlines for internal responders.
- Maintain, analyze, manage, and enhance comprehensive sales reporting.
- Develop, manage, and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and sales activity-based reporting, including sales pipeline reporting and monthly forecasts.
- Ensure that constructed reporting and analyses are defined, efficient, and scalable.
- Provide reporting on OKRs/KPIs established for the sales team.
- Deliver sales data to sales leadership in support of weekly/monthly reports to senior management.
- Manage and communicate weekly and monthly sales win reporting for internal communication and sales executives' incentive compensation.
- Maintain the Report Group Management database used to align customer naming conventions across multiple ERP systems and CRM/Pricing/Billing systems for use in Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, and Financial reporting throughout the organization.
- Utilize technology resources, applications, and data to develop innovative tools, reporting, and analyses (CRM, SQL, VBA, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
- Provide ad hoc sales pipeline reporting for the executive team as requested.
- Stay current on business processes, system functionality, and existing reporting.
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience in marketing analysis.
- 1+ years' business-to-business experience, preferably in an analytical role.
- 1+ years' experience maintaining data, generating reports, and extracting data within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Natural gas or energy industry knowledge preferred.
- Ability to capture and document reporting requirements from multiple sources.
- Minimum one year of customer relationship management experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Access skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- 40-hour hybrid work week once training is completed (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
