The Collier Companies is seeking a Development Analyst

This is an on-site role, reporting out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. The Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the development pipeline by performing financial analyses of development acquisition opportunities, preparing project level and portfolio level financial analyses, project budget forecasting, tracking and maintaining market research, and maintaining development models through the entire project life cycle. The Development Analyst will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Development and will interact with and present to the Senior Leadership team.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with and support the Executive Vice President of Development and the development team in evaluating new multifamily development opportunities
  • Prepare Pro Forma models and financial projections for potential development projects including underwriting rents, operational expenses, cash flows, and project costs
  • Prepares narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions
  • Assist in gathering due diligence reports and materials for development opportunities
  • Prepare sensitivity analyses for acquisition, financing, and stabilization for each new multifamily development
  • Prepare presentation materials on development opportunities for the Senior Leadership team
  • Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties including financial modeling, benchmarking to budget, and
  • Analyze the overall market and monitor industry trends.
  • Maintain market data and establish target market databases to include existing apartment communities, rental comparisons, comparable land sales, demographic data, and new development data
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related study
  • Strong quantitative and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deadlines
  • Complex thinker and demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity
  • Keen attention to detail, high energy; possessed drive
  • Suitability to an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance
  • Must be a team player, but also a self-starter that can perform with limited direction
  • Excellent written verbal and communication skills
