Position:

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst role is pivotal in recognizing solutions and shaping business decisions through comprehensive financial analysis and effective communication.

This full-time position is integral to the accounting team, collaborating closely with sales, operations, and management.


Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the formulation and dissemination of the budget and financial forecasts.


- Deliver timely evaluations of financial performance, highlighting key factors influencing deviations from targets (such as volume, pricing, and regional mix).

- Conduct monthly expenditure analysis, providing explanations for variances against forecasts.

- Scrutinize carrier invoices against contractual agreements and third-party logistics.

- Take proactive measures to enhance business opportunities or address challenges.

- Assist in the Strategic Planning process.

- Contribute to the monthly forecasting and month-end closing activities.

- Execute ad-hoc financial analyses as required (including network optimization, lane comparisons, and total landed costs).

- Enhance financial processes and reporting deliverables.

- Draft the preliminary version of standard business plans.


- Prepare initial analyses for planning & forecasting, capital planning, target setting, and business performance as directed by senior leadership or relevant teams.

- Identify and implement improvements to standard planning, budgeting, and forecasting practices utilizing Excel and other modeling tools.

- Undertake initial analytical tasks and prepare standard planning & forecasting outputs under the guidance of senior colleagues.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Required Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst capacity.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or professional certification with 5+ years of progressive finance experience; a Master's Degree is preferred.

- A background in Transportation Logistics is advantageous for this role.

- Ability to comprehend and analyze freight processes (from carrier to billing and recording).

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven analytical and organizational capabilities.

- Proficient in delivering presentations to senior-level audiences.

- Highly motivated professional, capable of managing multiple high-priority projects concurrently.

- Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.

- Ability to drive cross-functional results across all organizational levels.

- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.

- Advanced proficiency in PC applications – particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Must possess the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Strong financial and business acumen.
