Position Summary: The selected candidate will assist the Defense Health Agency's Program Manager and technical advisors in maintaining adherence to fire safety regulations, Statement of Conditions, and Environment of Care programs across Military Treatment Facilities worldwide. This role is crucial in organizing, scheduling, and executing training and consultation to ensure continuous compliance and successful accreditation initiatives.

Key Duties:

  • Training & Consultation: Organize and conduct training sessions (both in-person and virtual) on compliance with Joint Commission and NFPA standards.
  • Content Development: Prepare and structure training materials for presentations and events.
  • Data Management: Update and maintain the FAC SharePoint site with pertinent information.
  • Compliance Oversight: Analyze on-site surveys and generate trend reports on compliance with Joint Commission standards.
  • Documentation & Communication: Assist in formulating action plans, addressing compliance inquiries, and ensuring timely follow-up and administrative closure.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with DHA Fire Protection Engineers to address compliance challenges and prepare budget estimates.
  • Collaboration: Work with various teams and departments to support and implement necessary changes.
  • Program Development: Formulate and assess long-term objectives and strategies to enhance processes and program efficiency.
  • Representation: Act as a representative of the DHA Facility Operations Branch at meetings, briefings, and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in medical facilities compliance (with recent experience in the past 36 months).
  • 2 years of technical experience with Environment of Care (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, NFPA codes, OSHA requirements, Joint Commission standards, FGI Guidelines, and ASHRAE standards and facility inspections.
  • Active favorable NACI clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, or other project management tools.

Compensation: Salary based on skills and experience.
