Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture is preferred, along with substantial knowledge of medical healthcare facility design, construction, and management.
  • While a professional engineering registration is not mandatory, a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant project management experience is essential, particularly in healthcare facilities.
  • Practical experience should encompass direct responsibility for effective project management operations within medical healthcare campuses, with recent experience within the last six months.
  • Certification in Project/Construction/Healthcare Construction/Facility Management is required, or must be obtained within nine months of onboarding from an accredited program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, including developing performance work statements (PWS), accurate cost estimates, and leading project execution meetings.
  • Act as the liaison between the Government and DHA, providing expert advice on facility transformation and clinical integration.
  • Support the planning and execution of Integrated Design and Initial Outfitting and Transition (iDBIO) projects.
  • Assist in the development of Master/Facility Plans to forecast long-term needs and secure funding for significant renovations.
  • Maintain documentation and metrics to achieve management goals for construction and modernization processes.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including Base Civil Engineering and Environmental departments, to ensure project success.
  • Review environmental documents and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Support project officers with contract testing and compliance requirements.
  • Validate designs for compliance with project objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Gather data to assist with change order development and ensure customer concerns are addressed.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with construction standards and procedures.
  • Deliver professional presentations on project status to relevant agencies.
  • Facilitate the transition of personnel to newly constructed or renovated facilities.
