The Facilities Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep, aesthetic appeal, and operational efficiency of all Credit Union locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the effective functioning of all facilities and equipment to align with business requirements.
- Manage and coordinate third-party service providers responsible for maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct inspections of vendors to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Coordinate janitorial services, maintenance tasks, grounds upkeep, office relocations, and vendor interactions.
- Ensure that all furniture, facilities, and equipment adhere to Credit Union quality standards.
- Negotiate with service providers and recommend approval for contractor invoices.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility-related projects.
- Provide support for departmental tasks, including mail processing and inventory management.
- Perform routine building maintenance and safety inspections, manage supplies, and assist with office equipment relocation.
- Utilize independent judgment to interpret policies and resolve operational challenges.
- Address member concerns and complaints as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of budgets for branches and equipment maintenance.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance is essential.
- Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and general equipment repair is necessary.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of materials and equipment.
- Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Must be bondable and possess a favorable consumer credit report.
