About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Rhone Finance team in Stamford, CT. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable process from start to finish, including involvement in the inventory receipt process and ensuring accurate costing. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles, especially as they relate to inventory and cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the accounts payable process, including reviewing and verifying invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval, and processing payments in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
Perform three-way match of inventory between the vendor invoice, warehouse receipt, and Purchase Order
Perform day-to-day Accounts Payable functions, including 3-way purchase order (PO) matching of invoices and entering PO invoices

What You'll Bring:
Proven experience as Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in the consumer retail or apparel industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, especially related to inventory and cost accounting, and familiarity with GAAP
Proficiency in using accounting software, such as ERP systems (NetSuite a plus) and Excel
Experience using AP automation platforms such as Tipalti or
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
