LEAD MANAGER OF SEC REPORTING AND TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Manager will function as a strategic finance partner within a dynamic, global setting. This role encompasses a wide array of corporate accounting responsibilities, including addressing technical accounting challenges, overseeing external reporting, ensuring SOX compliance, and managing special initiatives. A key focus will be maintaining the integrity of the company's external financial disclosures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Accounting:

  • Conduct thorough research on technical accounting matters and apply relevant guidance to operational activities.
  • Draft comprehensive documentation for significant accounting issues and prepare position papers for auditors.
  • Engage in critical business transactions, providing expertise in technical accounting.
  • Deliver training on technical accounting topics to both domestic and international teams.
  • Stay updated on new accounting standards, evaluate their implications, and devise practical solutions.
  • Assist in formulating financial policies in response to operational changes and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards related to GAAP and SEC guidelines.

External Reporting:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of evolving accounting and financial reporting regulations.
  • Oversee the SEC reporting process, including the preparation and review of essential filings.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure the precise and timely production of all financial statements and supplementary data.
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring smooth collaboration with auditors.
  • Prepare financial data as part of the closing process, including key calculations and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare comprehensive reporting packages.
  • Coordinate compliance efforts with external partners and enhance internal controls.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned, including special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in high-tech sectors.
  • Experience with a prominent accounting firm is advantageous.

SKILLS:

  • CPA certification (or equivalent) is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
  • Exceptional management and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to improving efficiency in financial reporting processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for clear and concise recommendations.
