As a Senior Underwriter within PNC's Vendor Finance division, you will be based in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities will require regular presence in the office or field.

Some tasks may be performed remotely, subject to managerial discretion. **Municipal credit analysis and underwriting experience is preferred.**

Job Responsibilities
Work autonomously with minimal oversight.

Exercise elevated approval authority and prepare offerings for transactions of varying complexity or manage an assigned portfolio.

Engage with internal and external clients, providing recommendations for credit structuring. Act as a subject matter expert for specific asset classes and serve as a mentor and trainer for the team.

Utilize independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, preparing offerings and/or scorecards by analyzing credit, collateral strength, and financial viability of loan/transaction parties.

If applicable, conduct ongoing credit risk management for the assigned portfolio. Mentor and review the work of other underwriters and step in for management as necessary.
Contact internal and external clients and other relevant parties to gather information and clarify any inconsistencies or missing data. May perform necessary pre-approval and post-approval activities.
Identify and confirm all external regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Make recommendations on credit decisions or make credit decisions directly, as appropriate.
