Job Overview

We are in search of a skilled UAS Operations Engineer to take charge of the management and functionality of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) within our organization. This position encompasses the planning, execution, and administration of UAS missions, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards, while enhancing operational productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in UAS technology, operational oversight, and a comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Mission Strategy and Implementation: Formulate and execute comprehensive UAS mission strategies. Coordinate and supervise UAS flight operations, guaranteeing that all missions are performed safely and effectively. Evaluate mission results and offer suggestions for enhancements. Operational Oversight: Direct the daily management of the UAS fleet, including scheduling, logistics, and upkeep. Ensure adherence to all pertinent aviation regulations and standards. Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UAS operations. Equipment Maintenance and Diagnostics: Supervise the maintenance and repair of UAS apparatus. Conduct routine inspections and resolve any technical challenges that arise. Ensure all UAS systems are maintained in peak operational condition. Data Collection and Evaluation: Gather and assess data from UAS missions to guide decision-making and operational enhancements. Maintain precise records of all flight operations, maintenance tasks, and regulatory compliance. Training and Mentorship: Educate and oversee UAS operators and support personnel. Remain informed about the latest advancements in UAS technology and best practices. Provide continuous training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline. Advanced degree is preferred. Experience: At least 15 years of experience in UAS operations, aviation, or a related area. Proven success in managing intricate UAS missions and operations. Skills: Strong comprehension of UAS technology, including hardware and software systems. Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations and standards. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and operational reporting tools. Certifications: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent. Additional certifications in UAS operations or aviation management are advantageous.
