Job Overview
We are in search of a seasoned UAS Operations Engineer to take charge of our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operations. This pivotal role involves the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of UAS missions, while ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and enhancing operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in UAS technology, operational oversight, and a comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Mission Strategy and Implementation: Formulate and execute comprehensive UAS mission strategies. Direct and manage UAS flight operations, guaranteeing that all missions are performed safely and proficiently. Evaluate mission results and offer insights for enhancements. Operational Oversight: Supervise the everyday management of the UAS fleet, encompassing scheduling, logistics, and upkeep. Ensure adherence to all pertinent aviation regulations and standards. Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UAS operations. Equipment Maintenance and Diagnostics: Manage the upkeep and repair of UAS equipment. Conduct routine inspections and resolve any technical challenges that may arise. Ensure all UAS systems are maintained in peak operational condition. Data Collection and Interpretation: Gather and assess data from UAS missions to guide decision-making and operational enhancements. Maintain precise records of all flight operations, maintenance tasks, and regulatory compliance. Training and Skill Development: Educate and oversee UAS operators and support personnel. Remain informed about the latest advancements in UAS technology and best practices. Provide continuous training and professional development opportunities for team members.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. Experience: At least 15 years of experience in UAS operations, aviation, or a related field. Demonstrated success in managing intricate UAS missions and operations. Skills: Profound understanding of UAS technology, including hardware and software systems. Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations and standards. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and operational reporting tools. Certifications: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent. Additional certifications in UAS operations or aviation management are advantageous.Additional Information:
