Job Overview

The Field Operations Support Specialist serves as the primary liaison for military operations during overseas assessments of prototype systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that all operational requirements are met and effectively communicated to all stakeholders involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate multiple overseas missions, ensuring effective communication between on-site military personnel and the Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Oversee that all elements of the overseas assessment are documented and coordinated with relevant parties.
  • Provide regular updates on the operational status of systems, including maintenance, training, and spare parts availability.
  • Assist the PMO in tracking system requirements and development initiatives, contributing to ongoing engineering efforts for system enhancements.
  • Engage with operators and military staff to deliver PMO communications while gathering feedback on system performance.
  • Prepare and present briefings, analyses, and reports to government clients, offering concise recommendations for action.
  • Monitor project costs, performance metrics, and timelines, providing valuable insights to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key personnel during deployments to foster a collaborative work environment and ensure mission success.

Qualifications

Essential Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with military deployments in international settings.

Essential Skills:

  • Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work independently and remotely while delivering value to government clients.
  • Proficient in presenting complex information clearly, with actionable recommendations.
  • Strong skills in MS Office and MS Teams.
  • Diverse skill set to effectively execute missions in remote areas.
  • Adept at identifying mission risks and ensuring government clients are kept informed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with non-traditional defense contractors.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping processes.
  • Broad experience in logistics, system deployment, test planning, and communication with senior military leaders.
  • Knowledge in Counter Small UAS, Air Defense, and sensor/C2 operations.

Travel Requirements: 50% travel may be necessary.

Security Clearance:

  • Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
