Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is responsible for the management and operation of the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) under the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities

The Information Technology Directorate is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud computing architecture solutions, particularly focusing on Azure, ensuring compliance with security and deployment automation standards.
  • Develop migration strategies and transition on-premises resources and workloads to Azure utilizing infrastructure as code and tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, SSO, and security policies, including Azure Key Vault.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues related to cloud functionalities, M365, AVD, VMs (Windows, Linux), and integration challenges.
  • Facilitate DevOps activities and manage complex development tasks using tools like Docker, Kafka, and container management systems, while establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment.
  • Lead pre-production readiness initiatives, conduct proof of concepts, lab testing, and knowledge transfer, while providing architectural design documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Cloud Adoption Frameworks, focusing on compute, network, storage, and SaaS/PaaS offerings.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements, demonstrating innovative thinking on how technology can align with organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in a related role.
  • Extensive experience with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF), with a proven track record of migrating applications to the cloud.
  • Proficient in designing and managing Azure-based and hybrid networking solutions across various sites and subscriptions.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and collaboration infrastructure, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Intune.
  • Expertise in Azure governance, Express Route, Site Recovery, and virtual network configurations.
  • Ability to script in PowerShell, VBS, Python, Ansible, and similar languages.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, and related technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory architecture and cloud services integration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking security measures, identity and access management, and cloud governance.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure architecture design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. MSTS adheres to a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
