Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions utilizing containerization technologies such as OpenShift and AWS EKS, alongside VMware virtualization, AWS cloud services, and automation through Infrastructure as Code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure impacts and ensure alignment with business and technical needs.
  • Engage in projects aimed at modernizing infrastructure systems while promoting continuous improvement in engineering practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and system diagrams.
  • Investigate and assess new infrastructure technologies and tools to discover enhancements for existing systems and processes.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in infrastructure architecture and engineering.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in containerization platforms such as OpenShift and AWS EKS or GCP.
  • Extensive experience with VMware virtualization, Linux, and Windows Server environments.
  • Skilled in automation and orchestration tools, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and deploying highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Familiarity with Streaming and Messaging platforms, Service Mesh, and Caching technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of databases including Oracle, Postgres, and MS SQL Server.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols, security standards, and database management.
  • Adept at navigating ambiguous business requirements and translating them into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and ensure the achievement of project goals and deadlines.
