Responsibilities

The Information Technology Directorate seeks a high-performing individual to join our team as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud computing architecture solutions, particularly focusing on Azure, ensuring compliance with cloud security fundamentals, deployment automation, and multi-tenant implementations.
  • Develop migration strategies and transition on-premises resources and workloads to Azure utilizing infrastructure as code and other methodologies, including PowerShell and Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI).
  • Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, SSO, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical issues related to cloud functionality, M365, AVD, VMs (Windows, Linux), route tables, custom images, containers, performance, policies, integration, and access.
  • Facilitate DevOps development activities and complex tasks using tools such as Docker, Kafka, and container management systems. Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment.
  • Lead pre-production readiness initiatives, proof of concepts, lab testing, and knowledge transfer. Provide architectural design documentation and evaluate the integration of new technologies into existing infrastructures.
  • Offer expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Cloud Adoption Frameworks, as well as the Well-Architected Framework concerning compute, network, storage, and native SaaS/PaaS offerings.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, demonstrating forward-thinking on how technology can align with organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with the adoption of the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and adherence to the principles of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF), demonstrating proficiency in migrating applications to the cloud using AMPP and other methodologies.
  • Ability to design and manage Azure-based and hybrid networking solutions across multiple sites, locations, subscriptions, and virtual networks.
  • Expertise in managing Microsoft 365 and collaboration infrastructure, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Intune, and other Office 365 services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure governance, Express Route, Site Recovery, S2S VPN devices, Azure Monitor, RBAC, and virtual network and subscription peering.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBS, Python, Ansible, and similar.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and source control tools (GIT/GitHub/GitLab), as well as Serverless Functions.
  • Working knowledge of networking, virtualization, SAN, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture, Sites & Services, DNS, DHCP, and cloud services integration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various networking and security technologies, identity and access management, and data management.
  • Expertise in infrastructure architecture design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in VMware technologies, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
