Responsibilities

The Information Technology Directorate is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud computing architecture solutions, particularly focusing on Azure, that address security and compliance fundamentals, deployment automation, and multi-tenant implementations.
  • Develop migration strategies and transition on-premises resources and workloads to Azure utilizing infrastructure as code and other methods, including PowerShell and Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI).
  • Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, SSO, and security policies, including Azure Key Vault.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues related to cloud functionality, M365, AVD, VMs (Windows, Linux), route tables, custom images, containers, performance, policies, integration, and access.
  • Facilitate DevOps development activities and complex development tasks using tools such as Docker, Kafka, and container management systems. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated infrastructure deployment.
  • Lead pre-production readiness efforts, proof of concepts, lab testing, and knowledge transfer. Provide architectural design documentation and evaluate how to integrate technologies into the existing infrastructure.
  • Offer expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Cloud Adoption Frameworks, including the Well-Architected Framework as it pertains to compute, network, storage, and native SaaS/PaaS offerings.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, demonstrating forward-thinking regarding how technology can align with organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with the adoption of the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), adherence to the principles of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and proven ability to migrate applications to the cloud using AMPP and other methodologies.
  • Capability to design and manage Azure-based and hybrid networking solutions across multiple sites, locations, subscriptions, and virtual networks.
  • Expertise in designing and managing Microsoft 365 and collaboration infrastructure, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Intune, and other Office 365 services.
  • Proficient in Azure governance, Express Route, Site Recovery, S2S VPN devices, Azure Monitor, RBAC, and virtual network and subscription peering.
  • Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, VBS, Python, Ansible, and similar programming languages.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and source control tools (GIT/GitHub/GitLab), as well as Serverless Functions.
  • Working knowledge of networking, virtualization, SAN, and related technologies.
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory architecture, Sites & Services, DNS, DHCP, and cloud services integration.
  • Solid understanding of various networking and security technologies, identity and access management, Azure governance and compliance, data management, and containerization.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure architecture design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in VMware technologies, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
