Job Summary

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist at CAMC Health System, you will assume a leadership role in the delivery of a specific psychological program, ensuring the optimal provision of psychological assessment and treatment for a targeted population. This position requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills to drive program success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments, treatments, and education to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement effective psychotherapy treatment plans for individuals, groups, and families.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient communications and adhere to relevant policies.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Nurses and therapists to develop and implement treatment programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify or extend treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and consultations.
  • Develop and implement testing methods and techniques for psychological assessment.
  • Establish and institute protocols for specific treatments and patient groups.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality assurance within the department.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavioral management programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge: The successful candidate must possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care for the targeted patient population.

Specifically, the candidate must be able to:

  • Obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development.
  • Understand the range of treatment needed by patients.

Competency Statement: The candidate must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department-specific competency checklist.
