About the Role

We are seeking an experienced licensed architect to join our team at RS&H. As a key member of our Buildings team, you will play a vital role in defining structural or project elements and processes to meet client needs. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating estimates and proposal/bid preparations, ensuring performance to contracts, and planning and developing architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and coordinate estimates and proposal/bid preparations
  • Ensure performance to contracts through shared planning and monitoring of work orders and deliverables
  • Plan and develop architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities
  • Participate in the conceptual design and provide full support through the entire project
  • Coordinate with project management, other architects, and leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies
  • Promote and maintain client relationships through all project phases and serve as a firm ambassador in helping to win new work
  • Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects and serve as a SME on specialized systems
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians
  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects
Requirements
  • Have a degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Have 10 years' experience, including working on parts of major projects or multiple, moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff, reviewing others' work for technical accuracy, and participating in the design and implementation of new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results
  • Possess an active license in good standing and demonstrate knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other relevant ordinances
  • Be proficient in production software and construction document production
  • Have a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions
  • Have proven ability successfully addressing challenging issues in a sound professional and business-like manner
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
