About the Role

We are seeking an experienced licensed architect to join our Buildings team at RS&H. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in defining structural or project elements and processes to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Participate in and coordinate estimates and proposal/bid preparations, ensuring performance to contracts through shared planning and monitoring of work orders and deliverables with engineering, construction, and other disciplines.
  • Design and Development: Plan and develop architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities, participating in the conceptual design and providing full support through the entire project.
  • Technical Expertise: Coordinate with project management, other architects, and leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies, promoting and maintaining client relationships through all project phases.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects, serving as a SME on specialized systems, and reviewing junior staff's work for technical accuracy and providing technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 10 years' experience, including working on parts of major projects or multiple, moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff, reviewing others' work for technical accuracy, and participating in the design and implementation of new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results.
  • Licensure: Active license in good standing and knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other relevant ordinances.
  • Skills: Proficient in production software and construction document production, with a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
