Territory Sales Manager Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is a key role within Cornerstone Building Brands, responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in designated territories. This position requires a strong understanding of the building products industry and sales management experience in both the dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow established accounts to achieve sales revenue targets
  • Service existing accounts, obtain sales orders, and establish new accounts to expand the customer base
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Utilize sales resource utilization to assist in securing new business and drive sales growth
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule to pursue existing and potential territory sale opportunities
  • Conduct sales promotion and customer educational meetings to build relationships and drive sales
  • Provide lead generation and follow-through to ensure sales opportunities are pursued and converted
  • Recommend changes in pricing and adjust pricing within established guidelines to optimize sales revenue
  • Evaluate results and competitive developments to stay ahead of the competition
  • Resolve customer complaints and develop solutions to improve customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • A thorough knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience in both the dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel of the business
  • Problem-solving and sales negotiation skills are essential
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with sales planning, budgeting, and T&E expense management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Solid time management skills
  • Adept at prioritizing multiple responsibilities
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential
  • Strong personal motivation
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

This role requires heavy travel (50%+), and the successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to drive sales growth and revenue in designated territories.
