Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Integrated Evidence Practice (IEP) within Consulting will oversee a profit and loss (P&L) business unit that crafts, develops, and implements integrated evidence solutions. This role is pivotal in merging various health sciences to enhance value creation for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device firms. The increasing demand from regulators and payers for comprehensive evidence regarding product benefits, risks, and value necessitates a strategic approach that encompasses multiple functions, lifecycle stages, research methodologies, and geographical considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development by cultivating repeat and new client engagements while collaborating with internal divisions to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Lead consulting and research teams, ensuring adherence to budgetary and timeline requirements while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Innovate and enhance service offerings to align with market and client demands, ensuring findings and recommendations meet client specifications.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in evidence-based medicine methodologies.
  • Engage in leadership team meetings and initiatives as necessary.
  • Identify and connect with regional and national experts in Real World Evidence (RWE) and Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM), profiling data sources and organizations involved in real-world outcomes research relevant to Fortrea's products and therapeutic areas.
  • Manage client relationships, providing executive oversight for engagements.
  • Oversee project leaders and teams responsible for project execution.
  • Collaborate with clients to comprehend their evidence needs and challenges.
  • Offer expert guidance on study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Mentor and develop team members, participating in hiring and performance management.
  • Effectively manage a diverse and internationally remote team.
  • Communicate integrated evidence of varying complexities to formulary and healthcare policy decision-makers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Enhance awareness of Fortrea's marketed products' value propositions, enabling key healthcare professionals to make informed therapeutic decisions.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and support company processes while upholding quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Market Access, HEOR, and RWE strategy leads on study design and analysis.
  • Monitor national and regional healthcare policy changes and payer environments, assessing competitive data and communicating insights back to the organization.
  • Achieve financial objectives in alignment with group goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.S., or equivalent) in a relevant field such as epidemiology, health economics, or biostatistics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a master's degree (or 7 years with a doctoral degree), including extensive experience in RWE research, preferably in a consulting or pharmaceutical context.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to an executive audience.
  • Proven expertise in scientific and technical aspects of the discipline and in conducting research studies, along with strong skills in market access/HEOR-related disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of addressing complex client issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Extensive experience in leading teams, with a capacity to challenge conventional thinking to resolve client challenges.
  • Ability to establish and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or advanced degree preferred, with scientific or technical knowledge and drug development expertise aligned with client expectations.
  • Therapeutic expertise in oncology and neurology.
  • Able to innovate and drive the development of creative solutions to meet client needs.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to communication and dissemination of information, as well as the current compliance landscape.
