Role Responsibilities:

As a QA/QC Inspector, you will operate with minimal supervision, utilizing precision mechanical measuring tools and optical equipment to assess parts or assemblies against established specifications. Your role will also involve training junior personnel and refining inspection procedures as necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting inspections of mechanical components or assemblies using mechanical and optical instruments, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Developing and enhancing inspection methodologies based on guidelines, creativity, or experience.
  • Participating in the supplier qualification process as needed.
  • Documenting and reporting the status of inspected items to the relevant supervisors, and communicating quality recommendations and issues.
  • Managing the calibration of inspection tools and recommending the acquisition of necessary testing instruments.
  • Inspecting and processing returned goods from customers, following established return procedures.
  • Assisting and mentoring less experienced inspectors and colleagues.
  • Performing first article inspections and establishing inspection criteria.
  • Evaluating finishing processes such as painting and plating for quality assurance.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure compliance with finishing requirements.
  • Issuing internal corrective actions and actively participating in the Material Review Board.
  • Supporting production engineers in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conducting incoming inspections of purchased or outsourced components.
Qualifications:

What You Will Bring:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, application sheets, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Expertise in operating standard inspection equipment for precision measurement, typically gained through five or more years of inspection experience.
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 35 pounds for approximately 20% of the work time.
  • Capability to work independently without direct supervision or detailed instructions.
  • A commitment to driving quality standards within the organization.
