C.H. Thompson Finishing is looking for a dedicated Quality Technician for the 1st Shift.

Position Overview:

In the role of Quality Technician, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing that our products adhere to the highest quality standards. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assessing and determining the acceptability of finished components.
  • Identifying and eliminating products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Communicating inspection findings with relevant team members.
  • Documenting inspection and testing data.
  • Recording rework processes, including identifying issues, determining causes, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with the Quality Manager and Production Management team.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with daily operations and compliance objectives.
  • Reviewing and evaluating product specifications and customer requirements for both suppliers and in-house products.
  • Working alongside operational staff to define and enhance quality procedures.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality controls and documentation.
  • Identifying and addressing training needs related to quality.
  • Supporting the preparation of technical and management system reports.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
  • Monitoring performance through data collection and statistical reporting.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Overseeing operations to confirm adherence to production standards and recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Inspecting, testing, and measuring materials or products using precision tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and computer skills.
  • Experience with specialized testing tools and machinery.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and manuals to ensure product quality.
