Job Summary

C.H. Thompson Finishing is seeking a skilled Production Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our metal finishing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unmasking and Inspection: Carefully remove masking materials from parts after painting and inspect unmasked areas for any defects or imperfections.
  • Touch-Up Paint: Apply touch-up paint to correct minor defects in painted finishes, ensuring color matching and consistency.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect parts thoroughly for adherence to quality standards, documenting inspection results and any rework or corrections needed.
  • Sort and Packaging: Organize and sort parts as per instructions, ensuring proper categorization and preparation for packing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests, ensuring all data is correctly logged.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as updating inventory records, preparing shipping labels, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with the Supervisor to address any issues found during inspection.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies: Attention to detail, clear communication, problem-solving, technical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: $17.50+ per hour, with a 90-Day Review for a prospective increase.
