Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of IT Disaster Recovery and cross-functional teams to assess potential threats, conduct business impact assessments, and pinpoint essential IT systems and processes.
  • Aid in the formulation and upkeep of disaster recovery strategies, including procedures and documentation for emergency responses, data safeguarding, restoration, system recovery, and infrastructure continuity.
  • Support the deployment of robust data backup and recovery frameworks, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of critical data during and after a crisis.
  • Execute regular testing and validation of recovery strategies and procedures to ensure their efficacy and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on disaster recovery protocols and best practices to bolster organizational preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate and improve system recoverability, implementing backup schedules, updating configurations, and monitoring recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
  • Contribute to the identification and assessment of third-party vendors and service providers for disaster recovery solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements pertaining to disaster recovery, proposing recommendations for program improvements.
  • Assist in incident response and recovery initiatives during crises, working closely with the Disaster Recovery Manager and other stakeholders to minimize business interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in disaster recovery or business continuity planning, with a comprehensive understanding of disaster recovery methodologies, technologies, and industry standards.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify potential risks, assess business impacts, and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing data backup and recovery systems, including experience with backup software, storage solutions, and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in recovery strategies and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant compliance regulations and frameworks, such as HIPAA or ISO.
  • Willingness to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours when necessary.

Additional Skills:

  • Relevant certifications and coursework are advantageous.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in recovery strategies and procedures.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

The budgeted salary range for this position in specific states is $112,000.00.
