Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and present the highest quality meals to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food ordering, receiving, and inventory management
  • Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation codes
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Manage kitchen budgets and inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of culinary experience, preferably in a senior living or skilled nursing environment
  • Experience with dining services, including food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation codes
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and do occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift
  • Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed

  • ServSafe Certified
  • Experience in a senior living or skilled nursing culinary environment
