Director of Enrollment Management

The Downtown School, an independent 9-12 coeducational day school located near Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Enrollment Management to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our school by developing and implementing a comprehensive enrollment strategy that aligns with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the admissions, enrollment, and re-enrollment process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for prospective families.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of admissions, financial aid, and enrollment trends, including the Greater Seattle Area market, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Audit and improve our current admissions process, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing creative solutions to increase the funnel from prospective families to enrolled students.
  • Lead and manage an admissions team of teaching faculty and staff, providing guidance and support throughout the admissions process.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to develop and implement marketing strategies that attract and engage a diverse group of mission-appropriate students.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and other senior leaders to ensure alignment with the school's overall strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including current and prospective families, alumni, and community partners.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in admissions, with a proven track record of success in enrollment management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
