Position Overview:
This senior-level procurement role is pivotal in managing the acquisition processes in alignment with the policies of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The focus of this position is on the evaluation, formulation, negotiation, and implementation of contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing various procurement processes including competitive, cooperative, sole source, and emergency acquisitions in accordance with established policies.
  • Assessing both price and non-price elements to identify potential savings, cost avoidance, and enhancements in service delivery.
  • Procuring a diverse range of goods and services within a centralized purchasing framework.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to guarantee high-quality products, timely delivery, and reliable service at competitive prices.
  • Suggesting enhancements to procurement strategies and operational procedures.
  • Formulating and executing effective business practices and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience.
  • Licensure: Not required.

Physical Requirements:
This role is primarily sedentary, involving significant computer usage, with occasional walking required for meetings and programs.


Compensation Range:
$61,000 - $98,300.80 annually.
