Direct Support Professional II

Institute for Community Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to join our team. As a DSP II, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals with severe intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Job Summary:The Direct Support Professional II will provide a variety of levels of support and services to individuals with severe intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This includes encouraging, guiding, teaching, and advocating for individuals to promote their growth and independence.
Responsibilities:- Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide support with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Assist individuals with medical care, including administering medications and providing first aid
- Support individuals with community integration, including accompanying them to social events and activities
- Perform household maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Assist individuals with financial management and budgeting
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote growth and independence
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
