Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to join our team in the Perioperative Services department at the University of Miami Hospital & Clinics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with meals and feeding, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Administer enemas, douches, and other medical treatments as directed by nursing staff.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including urine and blood samples.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Assist with patient transport and positioning, including transferring patients to and from beds and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
  • Report patient conditions and concerns to nursing staff, including changes in patient status or behavior.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
