Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Technical Field Support Specialist Level II. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering technical assistance for SES products throughout various stages including prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for both internal and external clients. The role requires a willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, up to 75% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine technical assistance for maintenance, repairs, modifications, equipment setup, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues utilizing technical documentation and schematics.
  • Conduct repairs and modifications using various hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Assist in demonstrating the setup and calibration of complex systems for potential users.
  • Complete necessary documentation and feedback for onsite services and installations.
  • Deliver technical solutions to clients with a high level of professionalism.
  • May provide formal or informal training to customer personnel.
  • Identify, analyze, and rectify product failures, ordering and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Recommend products or services that best meet customer needs.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Work flexible hours, including shifts up to 12 hours, to conduct necessary testing.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment and effective communication skills.
  • Maintain adherence to customer scheduling requirements with minimal unplanned absences.
  • Support and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of one or more technical disciplines (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations (deployed 50-75% of the time).
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer systems and operating systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using laptops, mobile devices, and related software.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. passport is required.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint; familiarity with database technologies is beneficial.
