Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of significant accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Sales Executives to enhance business opportunities while minimizing errors and omissions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Independently oversee service timelines for assigned accounts, coordinating with clients and Sales Executives to ensure timely service delivery.
• Proactively engage with clients to schedule necessary appointments and manage service timelines effectively.
• Recommend risk management tools and resources tailored to client needs.
• Suggest coverage options and additional policies to enhance client protection.
• Maintain proficiency in all value-added tools and resources available.
• Manage the renewal process in accordance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and Sales Executives to review applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
• Analyze comparisons and quotations for renewals to ensure competitive offerings.
• Make informed policy placement decisions based on client needs and agency capabilities.
• Prepare comprehensive account summaries as required.
• Deliver policies and related documentation to clients as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry rates, forms, and coverage changes through continuous learning and professional development.
• Keep Sales Executives and management informed of significant activities related to their accounts.
• Expand accounts by quoting additional lines of coverage not currently underwritten by the agency.
• Refer clients to other divisions of Marshall + Sterling Inc. as appropriate.
• Collect premiums in accordance with established agency procedures.
• Maintain necessary professional accreditations to meet agency standards.
• Participate in ongoing education programs to enhance professional skills.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and staff members.
• Communicate any issues to management to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Adhere to established policies and guidelines to mitigate risks.
• Report all errors and omissions claims promptly and maintain confidentiality regarding client and agency information.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Preferred: College degree; required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing or possessing an insurance-related designation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Vertafore is advantageous.
• Essential knowledge of commercial insurance products and services.
• Required: appropriate state insurance licenses and ongoing education.
• Minimum of five years of experience in commercial lines customer service and/or sales.
• Motivation for commission-based compensation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues and clients.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
