Job Description

**Job Summary**

The College of the Holy Cross is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist to lead the development and delivery of training programs for our new CRM system, Affinaquest RM. This is a full-time, exempt-level position with a salary range of $70,000-$75,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Serve as the project leader for the Advancement conversion project, becoming an expert in Affinaquest and working with each program area within Advancement to document and translate business processes to the new CRM.
  • Instructional Design and Delivery: Design and deliver instruction to small groups or one-to-one classroom training for the Affinaquest RM product as configured for the College of the Holy Cross. This will include all major functional areas of the system, including prospect, donor relations, gift processing, reporting, communications, etc.
  • System Documentation: Create basic system instructions on procedures and policies for development officers and other users, including integration of the system to communicate with prospects, create proposals, manage objections, locate prospects, etc.
  • Training Materials Development: Design, deliver, update, and create all current and new training materials for Affinaquest CRM and other specific software systems used in development work, including products from vendors such as Blackthorn, Give Campus, and a new marketing automation tool.
  • User Support: Provide user support (in person and virtually), responding to users' questions, guiding users in class selection and skill set development, meeting with users and small groups to encourage basic and expanded usage of the system, and communicating requested changes back to system admins for potential inclusion in the system.
  • Other Duties: Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Background in ERP Deployments: A strong background (3-5 years) in full-scale ERP deployments and training, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently manage projects.
  • Salesforce Experience: 1+ years of experience in a Salesforce environment is preferred.
  • Fundraising Experience: Experience in fundraising or development programs is preferred, with a successful candidate reporting to Advancement and applying skills for the success of the Advancement programs.
  • Complex System Functionality: 3-5 years of successful mastery of complex system functionality.
  • Instructional Design Experience: 3-5 years of experience applying adult learning theories and Instructional Design principles to design and deliver successful learning outcomes, with the ability to apply diverse communication methodologies (verbal, video, and written) to ensure successful user application.
  • Staff Development and Customer Service: A commitment to staff development and superior customer service delivery, with experience in needs assessment and superior communication skills to develop a curriculum that focuses on different job roles.
  • Technical Skills: The ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training, with flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: The ability to demonstrate progress and success through existing metrics or creating such metrics for different development areas.
