Senior Risk Management Executive

Full-time, Exempt position

The Senior Risk Management Executive plays a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive risk management framework within the organization. This position is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients through effective risk mitigation strategies.

The responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:
  • Management and oversight of claims processes, including thorough investigation and analysis.
  • Conducting risk assessments for new services and initiatives.
  • Performing root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and tracking action plans for resolution.
  • Leading the Patient Safety Council and integrating corporate risk management programs into the overall strategy.
  • Collaborating with department leaders and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies across the organization.
  • Providing expertise in regulatory compliance and standards.
  • Engaging in data analysis, reporting, and educational initiatives to enhance organizational knowledge and practices.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field is required.
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of clinical experience in risk management is essential.
  • At least three (3) years of leadership experience in risk management is required, with a preference for acute care experience.
  • Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is preferred.
  • Possession of a California license in the relevant specialty is required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation is preferred.
