Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the construction process from inception to completion, collaborating closely with a Project Manager.
  • Schedule subcontractors and procure materials in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  • Supervise onsite subcontractors and manage all onsite labor, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Review subcontracted scopes of work, establish clear expectations, and ensure accountability among stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the delivery, handling, storage, and placement of materials.
  • Oversee quality assurance, compliance with building codes, and inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to company presentation standards.
  • Implement safety protocols and attend safety meetings regularly.
  • Keep a detailed daily job log, documenting project progress, site conditions, and safety measures.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in weekly site meetings with clients and the design team.
  • Assist the Project Manager with end-of-month budget reconciliation.
  • Participate in monthly project management training and company events.
  • Review project performance with the Director of Construction at the end of each month.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of RW company values and culture.
Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, specifically in residential homebuilding. A thorough understanding of all aspects of the building process, from earthwork to final touches, is essential.

  • Over 10 years of practical experience in the residential construction sector, with a focus on custom homes and renovations.
  • Proficient in maintaining and adhering to project schedules, including 6-Week Look Ahead planning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to read and respond to team dynamics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by warmth and approachability.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a systems-thinking approach.
  • Demonstrated drive and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to hold team members accountable and address conflicts directly when necessary.
